andrea-joe1Andrea and Joe are another really great couple.  They chose one of our favorite venues, the magnificient Longview Mansion.  The staff at the Longview Mansion is wonderful.  They were able to switch this wedding from outdoors to indoors like magic!

Andrea and Joe were naturals in the photobooth when they came over to take pictures for the large photostrip.  I should have saved those photostrips too.  They were awesome!  They are just such a fun couple!  Need proof?  You have to be a fun couple to invite Elvis to the reception.  Don’t you think?

Cherie and ToddCherie and ToddCherie and Todd chose the beautiful, historic Loose Mansion for their wedding.  This is just a perfectly beautiful venue with a truly outstanding staff.  Each tme we have the opportunity to provide a photobooth for an event at Loose Mansion, I look forward to it because I know it will be special.  This was no exception.

When Cherie and Todd came by the office to take pictures for their large photostrip it was so clear to me how much they love each other.  One of the pictures, using fake microphones, made me think of the Beatles song, “All You Need Is Love”.  Great couple, great guests, great venue = GREAT RECEPTION!

KC Weddings Bridal Spectacular

August 18th, 2009

Well, it’s hard to believe that this is our fourth KC Weddings Bridal Spectacular.  We look forward to every one.  It is so much fun to meet all of the brides and grooms and their parents and ofcourse the wedding party.  January 2008 seems like a long time ago and if you consider how many photobooths we have delivered to a variety of events – weddings, graduations, corporate holiday parties, corporate events, proms, after-proms, it has been quite a trek.  But we’ve learned so much about brides and what they want and how we can make their day even more special.  What other job allows you to work people who are happy all of the time?

Thank you to all of the brides and their entourages that stopped by the booth and special congratulations to Jennifer Rohner who was the winner of the drawing for $500.00 off of a four hour rental.

Also, Congratulations are in order for the winner of the Featured Aisle Vendor prize of a Free One Hour Photobooth Rental which could also be redeemed for $500.00 off of one of our four hour rental packages, Britain Booth.

We had so much fun with all of the brides, but we also had fun with Swank and Teresa from Mix 93 who stopped by and had some fun in the photobooth.  Here are just a few of the photostrips from the show.

Kara & MattKara & MattKara and Matt celebrated their wedding at the Shawnee Country Club in Topeka, Kansas.  It can certainly be a challenge to pick up photobooths at more than one wedding in Kansas City, but when one of them is an hour away in Topeka, it’s time for another trailer.  That’s what we did.  Adam and Max, our on site coordinators, drove up to Topeka about 2:30 and set up the photobooth, got dinner and then worked the event.  They had a great time with the guests.  Kara and Matt provided a candy bar with an array of goodies in addition to the photobooth which kids of all ages enjoyed.  When a  90 year old gets in the photobooth, we can definitely say “all ages” enjoyed the photobooth!

michelle-joshMichelle and Josh reserved our photobooth at the KC Weddings Bridal Spectacular in January 2009.  They will probably always hold the record for the most photostrips taken by one couple at a bridal show.  I think that’s great!  They really enjoyed the photobooth!  And their guests really enjoyed the photobooth at the wedding reception which was held at Club 1000 in the Millenium Room.

Angie and Christin were our on site coordinators and they said the guests were lined up just about the entire reception.  It was non-stop fun with a great group of people.  Angie also told us about the groom’s cake – a guitar.  Very cool!  Angie said the wedding cake was really beautiful, but the guitar cake was awesome!

As we pulled away from the Sawyer Room and headed toward Club 1000 for the pick up of this photobooth, I recognized this group walking down the street.  Now that is a party!

erica-and-jimmyErica and Jimmy live in California.  Erica and Jimmy had the best wedding planner ever…Erica’s mother, Jeannie.  Jeannie has such an eye for detail and worked tirelessly to make sure that her daughter had the wedding of her dreams.  I met Erica and Jimmy on Thursday before the wedding on Saturday when they came to take the pictures for the large photostrip for the front of the photobooth.

From everything I saw, Erica and Jimmy loved everything that Jeannie planned.  When I came to pick up the photobooth, I was so impressed with the centerpieces.  They were gorgeous!  Thanks to Dan Meiners.  They so complemented the magnificient Sawyer Room.  This was our first visit to the Sawyer Room.  Jodi and Eric are awesome!  I’ve spoken with them several times, but this was the first opportunity to work together.  I can’t wait for the next opportunity.  If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with a hand painted ceiling, look no further.  It is awesome!

The on site coordinators, Paul and Derek, reported a lot of creative pictures taken in the photobooth.  Below are just a few samples.

jennifer-and-johnJennifer and John selected the Broadway Room at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City for their reception.  We love the Uptown Theater!  The staff is awesome!

This rental had an interesting beginning.  Jennifer called to inquire about the availability of the photobooth for July 25th and I told her that we were already booked.  The problem was we already had three weddings scheduled and the KC Weddings Bridal Spectacular was scheduled for the same day.  I’ve learned that we need at least two photobooths at the show, so I considered us booked.  I could tell Jennifer was a woman not unlike myself.  After my explanation, she asked “Well, what time is the bridal show over?  Could you deliver after the bridal show?”  I admire a person who knows what they want and goes for it.  That’s Jennifer.  I said, “Sure.”

As it turned out, I purchased another photobooth prior to their reception so we were actually able to deliver and set up the day before.  Peace of mind for all of us!

The on site coordinators, Jen and Kate, reported that the guests had a great time, but I’ve already heard from Jennifer how much fun her guests had.  So, we have confirmation!  See for yourself…

rebekah-nathan-2rebekah-nathanRebekah and Nathan chose the Mission Theatre on Johnson Drive in Mission, Kansas for their wedding reception.  Theaters are always a fun venue!  This was our first visit here since it was a theater.  Ryan at Mission Theatre was very accomodating for the delivery and pick up.

Rebekah and Nathan are another great couple.  We had so much fun when they came to take pictures in the photobooth.  Nathan’s last name is Ham and I think it really fits him.  ;)   While they were at the office, we made a sign for them to hold in the photobooth that said “HAM IT UP!!!”.  Keep in mind the camera reverses everything.  But it worked out great and they used it for the fourth frame on their large photostrip serving as instructions to all of the guests.  I believe the guests took instruction very well.  You be the judge.

kristin-and-devenThe St. Joseph Country Club hosted Kristin and Deven’s wedding reception.  You know I just love when couples stop by to get pictures taken in the photobooth for their large photostrip.  It gives me the chance to get to know them better and I just love this couple.  They are so in love and so much fun!

Adam and Whitney were the on site coordinators  and they reported that the guests LOVED the photobooth.  That’s not a big surprise.  Notice the fourth frame.  This was customized by Kristin herself.  Not only is she beautiful, she’s talented!  Whitney also said the centerpieces were strikingly beautiful.  They used magnificient crystal vases with pearls and crystals mixed in with pink flowers.  Kristin and Deven’s wedding reception was a marathon and the guests were prepared for a party!  How much fun can you have in a photobooth for six hours?  A whole bunch!

Mike and AngieMike and Angie celebrated their marriage with a reception at the Argosy Casino.  We have been to the Argosy for the 15th Birthday party, but that was an outdoor event.  This time we were inside and it really is an excellent facility.  We set up the photobooth in the Prefunction area of the ballroom near the buffet.  This was a wild and crazy group.  They had the most inventive way of breaking the record of how many people you can fit in a photobooth.

Jen and Derek were our on site coordinators and they said the guests kept them so busy they almost ran out of the plastic sleeves that we slide the photostrips into for the guests’ favors.  Key word…almost.

The party was going strong when we arrived to pick up the photobooth so I’m certain a good time was had by all.  The photostrips below can only tell part of the story.
