Anna and Barry chose Heritage Hall in Topeka for their wedding reception. Once again, it was another first for KC Photobooth, but not a first for the groom’s family. We had the pleasure and honor of providing a photobooth for Barry’s brother last year. This is not just a great couple; this is a great family. Paul and Jena, our onsite coordinators, had so much fun last year we sent them to Topeka again!
The hardest thing for Anna and Barry was to find time to come to Kansas City to take pictures for the large photostrip. Barry works very hard in the family business and apparently spends plenty of time on his cell phone (I’m guessing that because one of the poses for the photostrip was Barry and Anna on their I-Phones).
Kathy, the groom’s mother, emailed me in January 2009 to reserve the photobooth saying that the guests at her other son’s wedding had such a great time and were still talking about the photobooth. That’s a special day when someone enjoys the photobooth so much that they book you for another wedding. I so appreciate this family.

Halls rented our photobooth for the longest rental yet, a startling 40 days! For 40 days, the customers of Halls had the opportunity to get a photostrip to remember their day of shopping!
Here are some of the best:

Shadow Buddies had their 14th annual benefit dinner on September 21st. The Shadow Buddies Foundation was founded in 1995 by Marty Postlethwait to create stuffed “buddies” that are designed to be a friend to children and seniors who have various diseases. Buddies are condition-specific and can be used to demonstrate the physical results of treating a particular condition.
Tony Gonzalez, Matt Cassel and David Cook all support Shadow Buddies by visiting children and seniors in the hospital. They all attended the event and spoke about their involvement with Shadow Buddies. David Cook even walked away with a King Charles Spaniel from the live auction!
We were invited to provide entertainment and a memento for the guests. We also provided a four hour photobooth rental for the live auction in order to raise money for Shadow Buddies. And though we didn’t get any pictures of Tony Gonzalez, Matt Cassel or David Cook, we still had a great time supporting a wonderful foundation!
Here are some of the best pictures from the night. Can you pick out Andrew Cook (David Cook’s brother)?

The Ritz Charles held a Bridal Show/Open House on September 20. One of the best things about this Bridal Show is the “Walking Fashion Show”. Models walked around in beautiful dresses from Bridal Extraordinaire, mingling and talking with the guests.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show!

Tobe and Eric chose Orchard Hill Bed and Breakfast in Lawson, Missouri for their wedding and reception. The view is gorgeous and the owner, Ted McKinzie, is awesome! Ted has created a beautiful outdoor wedding venue with a bed and breakfast. We set up on the patio, the bride and groom provided some props, and the party was on.
Tobe and Eric took one of my favorite pictures for their large photostrip. It looks like she loves him so much, she’s just going to squeeze him to death. You guessed it….another great couple! I just love these guys!
The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding, even though earlier in the day we were a little nervous.
I’m not sure how many flower girls there were…there were several and they were all so cute! Let’s see what the guests looked like in those props.

Beth and Elijah chose the Benton Club in St. Joseph for their reception. No big surprise, the bride’s mother, Linda, is the owner and manager. This was our first trip to the Benton Club which has a wonderful veranda surrounding the sides and front. The veranda is large enough for guests to enjoy their dinner and have a pleasant conversation away from the dance floor. Great DJ by the way. Everyone was enjoying the music provided by In the Mix Productions and the photobooth provided by none other than KC Photobooth, of course.
Beautiful wedding dress! I believe Beth said she purchased it at Bridal Extraordinaire.
I know I keep saying “another great couple”, but it fits here for sure. Beth and Elijah remind me of couples from my generation with their very mature commitment to each other.
This was our first opportunity to use our portable handicapped ramps and they worked like a charm. There was no way in the Benton Club without stairs, but we made a successful delivery and pickup and it looks like everyone had a great time.

This was our first event at Nara, an urban chic event space just a few blocks south of the Kansas City Power and Light District. This venue is perfect for an intimate event for a crowd of about 125.
This wedding reception was a party! When the end of the night came almost all the guests were still in the photobooth and on the dance floor. Here are some of the best pictures:
