The University of Missouri – Kansas City has built a new Student Union Building. August 22nd was the grand opening of the building, and what better way to celebrate than to have a photobooth for students to take pictures in? There’s only one thing better: having TWO photobooths! We provided both of our extended photobooths for their grand opening celebration. There were tours of the new building and they even provided free food for the students who showed up. There was even an amount of time where the students had been told that they couldn’t get free food unless they could show a photostrip with them in the pictures! Let’s just say the line was very long during that time period; we didn’t have time to breathe the entire time we were there. Everyone was having soooo much fun!

There was a twist to having the photobooth there as well. Since the photobooth prints duplicate copies every time it prints, we dressed one copy up the way we do and put the other copy into UMKC’s own photo guestbook. We have been told that the photo guestbook is being put into the University Archives, where future generations can see the fun that everyone had at the grand opening of the Student Union Building.

Thanks for letting KC Photobooth be a part of UMKC’s celebration! We had a great time!

Ashley and Tyson took KC Photobooth to a venue we hadn’t been to before – Maceli’s, located in Lawrence just off of Massachusetts Street. What an awesome couple! They were so much fun to work with! We started taking pictures during the cocktail hour, which took place in the Bistro at Maceli’s. Their guests enjoyed the signature drink, The Firefly, during this time, and it did not stop after the cocktail hour.

Everyone had a blast hopping in and out of the extended photobooth! We couldn’t believe how many pictures they were taking in such a short amount of time; it seemed that they were trying to set the record for the most number of pictures taken at a reception. It would take some looking back at a few weddings from the past, but they just might have succeeded! Everyone was having so much fun that we were asked to stay an extra hour so the guests could keep making memories for Ashley and Tyson. Their photo guestbook definitely has some good pictures and messages in it!

Congratulations, Ashley and Tyson!

Jaycie and Kevin had their wedding reception at The Loretto. There couldn’t possibly be a nicer couple than them. They had so much fun and were so polite and respectful when they came in for their large photostrip pictures. Our on-site coordinators even commented on how nice it was to talk to Jaycie and Kevin; they’re just good people!

Their guests had a great time throughout the evening, and this definitely included the photobooth! Jaycie and Kevin went even more for the retro photobooth look and had KC Photobooth put their names in lights on top of the photobooth! Of course, this option is only available with our original photobooths; we’re still working on making it happen with our extended photobooths. It was an awesome evening filled with lots of memories, a lot of them captured in photostrip format. Thank you for allowing KC Photobooth to play a part.

Congratulations, Jaycie and Kevin!

Laura and Beau chose the Skylight Room down in the Crossroads Arts District for their wedding reception. The view from the venue, which sits atop Crosstown Station, has amazing views of the Kansas City Power and Light, the downtown skyline, and even Crown Center. The room was set up perfectly, from décor to table layout, for Laura and Beau’s special day! Peacock feathers adorned all the floral arrangements and tied everything together. There was rock candy on the cake and Beau’s cake was a drum, complete with drum sticks on top.

Their guests were very creative and artistic, on the dance floor and in the photobooth! Beau designed their customized fourth frame, and may we just say, did a superb job! It fit in perfectly (as it should) and added just another touch of fun to the evening. Their guests will be able to look at their photostrips for years and know the fun that they had at Laura and Beau’s wedding. What a fun, memorable keepsake.

Congratulations, Laura and Beau!

Erin and Dan chose the rustic-elegant Hobbs Building as the setting for their reception. The décor was quite unique – perfect for a wedding! Their guests sat at square tables, quite unique and different. Paper lanterns were hung from the ceiling, while metal lanterns holding flowers and candles decorated the tables as the centerpieces. Danielle Suarez, the wedding coordinator, did an excellent job making sure everything went smoothly. Erin and Dan shared a Bistro Sweetheart Table on the edge of the dance floor throughout the evening, making their special day even better!

The guests really enjoyed their time with our new extended photobooth! KC Photobooth likes being able to continue offering new things to make our bride’s special day that much more fun, and our extended photobooth has not disappointed. Be sure to check out just how much fun everyone had!

Congratulations, Erin and Dan!

Ashley and Jon were so much fun! We first met them at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence. Ashley had known that she wanted a photobooth for her wedding for a long time, even before they were available in Kansas City, which is where KC Photobooth came in. Being Kansas City’s Premier Provider of Photobooths, Ashley’s feelings about a photobooth coincided with how KC Photobooth came into existence.

They held their reception at the Elks Lodge in Harrisonville, Missouri. They transformed the room, having square tables, as opposed to the typical round. Their centerpieces were carefully selected and put together by Ashley herself and her wonderful bridesmaids and family. Ashley looked amazing in her dress, and Jon looked pretty good himself. Jon got his big cupcake groom’s cake, and the newly married couple had chosen another KC Photobooth favorite to help capture memories from their special day, BerryGood Video. Everyone had so much fun in our extended photobooth, so check it out!

Congratulations, Ashley and Jon!

Mellody and Jack had their wedding reception at the Sylvester Powell Community Center. Kim Ho of You’re Invited coordinated everything perfectly! Mellody looked gorgeous in a dress from Ida’s Bridal and Tuxedos. Russ Lawrence of Changing Seasons did an impeccable job transforming the room with florals and lighting. You could tell that a lot of care was being taken with every detail of Mellody and Jack’s special day.

And KC Photobooth was honored to be a part of those details. These two were photobooth pros, especially when it came to taking pictures for their large photostrip. Two photostrips – done! But of course they took some more just because you can’t just take two photostrips and stop! Their guests had a lot of fun creating some pretty awesome photostrips! There were a lot of family photostrips taken as well – memories that will be cherished forever.

Congratulations, Mellody and Jack!

Sarah and Zac chose the KCI Airport Marriott as the setting to entertain their guests for their reception. All Season’s Tent Rental provided the flowers and chair covers to help transform the ballroom for Sarah and Zac’s special day. The guests enjoyed wedding cake by Sugar and Spice Catering and then used that newly-gained sugar for energy out on the dance floor as Complete Music kept everyone hoppin’.

This couple was on the ball and made their decision early regarding which photobooth they wanted. They selected our extended photobooth, which provided more space for even more guests to pile into the photobooth for awesome pictures! You should definitely check out all the fun everyone had!

Congratulations, Sarah and Zac!

Beth and Ian chose St. Joseph’s Dining Hall at St. Mary’s University in Leavenworth, Kansas for their wedding reception. They were so much fun to work with, and KC Photobooth had a lot of fun as well on their special day. They decided to foregoe the customized fourth frame option, which we provide at no extra charge, and selected our newly offered customized stickers to seal the plastic sleeves for their guests’ copy of their photostrips.

Beth and Ian’s guests came ready for a good time! This definitely involved the photobooth! We don’t know if Beth informed all of her guests of their “requirement” to take photos for their photo guestbook, but Justin and Suzanne were busy the entire time – definitely what we like! Beth and Ian’s photo guestbook will definitely be something they cherish for a long time! Check out the fun everyone had in the photobooth!

Congratulations, Beth and Ian!

Kimber and Michael brought on a first for KC Photobooth – the Hotel Phillips. This gorgeous hotel was the perfect setting for their reception. Kimber looked stunning in a wedding dress from TJFormal.com, a store we hadn’t heard of before in Joplin, Missouri. The florals were done by Branches & Twigs, a favorite of ours; Bridal Kitchen provided their popular cooler groom’s cake; and the guests enjoyed the mashed potato bar while being entertained by two live bands, The Magnetics and Antennas Up.

Kimber loved the photobooth so much that she wanted to make sure it was in the prime spot for the reception. It took a couple moves and setups before we knew that it was in the perfect location for the guests to make awesome memories for Kimber and Michael.

Congratulations, Kimber and Michael!
