The REAL KC Photobooth

January 5th, 2012

It’s sad that other companies try to fool others by trying to be something (or someone) that they’re not. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; however, when it comes to someone’s very special day, or a corporate event going for the best, or even a backyard party, it doesn’t sit right with us that other companies are using KC Photobooth (or some form of our name) as a way to trick potential clients into thinking they are us.

Be sure you’re getting the REAL KC Photobooth! There seem to be many crazy photobooth companies out there who are trying to fool you into thinking they are KC Photobooth. There is only one KC Photobooth, and that’s us! Be sure to ask for Patty or Adam to be sure that you are getting the very best photobooth in Kansas City! Having been the first authentic photobooth company in KC, and now in our 5th year of business, we have the experience and know-how to make your event unforgettable. We know how to Capture the Spirit of Your Event!

October 29, 2010 ~ Johnson County Bar Association

October 31st, 2010

This was the second year in a row that KC Photobooth played a part in the Johnson County Bar Foundation’s Annual Legacy Celebration: Charity Stampede! The event is designed to be a major fundraiser for the Foundation for the year. They have a live auction with several high quality items!

It’s not only about the fundraising, though! Everybody comes with the thought of having a good time. The live band kept the dance floor going late into the night, and KC Photobooth provided even more fun as people took pictures that they got to keep as keepsakes! It was good fun had by all!

October 16, 2010 ~ Forster Family Fall Fun Festival

October 18th, 2010

KC Photobooth revisited the Forster Family Fall Fun Festival this year. We joined them for the festivities last year when they were celebrating Dan’s birthday. This year, it was Kathy’s turn! For the past two years, the Forsters have won a four hour photobooth event at the Shadow Buddies annual live auction fundraiser. They loved it last year; they just had to have it again!

This year, the theme was coupled between Halloween and The Wizard of Oz – a clear favorite of Kathy’s! In attendance was Dorothy (Kathy), Tin-Man, Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, Glinda the good witch, Elpheba the wicked witch, and the Wizard himself (all family members)! It was a great party and everyone had a great time getting in the photobooth to create a birthday keepsake for Kathy. Here’s to next year!

October 6, 2010 ~ Just Like You

October 8th, 2010

KC Photobooth was honored to be a part of Just Like You’s most recent film premiere. Just Like You is an organization that produces movies that feature children that have been through unique and trying circumstances. The film premiere KC Photobooth attended featured children with cancer. The point of Just Like You’s films is to show that children that are different just because they have cancer, or some other trying circumstance, are just like everyone else: they have dreams, hopes, and want to live like everyone else! We were very touched by the attitudes and demeanors of everyone, from the children starring in the film, to those who attended, to those who planned the event. It was a remarkable experience, and KC Photobooth was there for people to take home memories from the night.

October 6, 2010 ~ Humane Society of Greater Kansas City

October 8th, 2010

Back in June, KC Photobooth was going to participate in the Dog’N’Jog put on by the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City; unfortunately, massive, heavy downpours and flood warnings prevents us from doing so. Our equipment, like all other photobooths, is electronic, so we decided that it was best for all concerned that we not chance electrocution or damage to the photobooths. So, in return, KC Photobooth participated in the Humane Society’s fundraiser held at McCormick & Schmick’s on the Plaza. Chris and Chelsey, our on-site coordinators for the evening, said it was great to see dogs and their owners getting into our new Extended Photobooth and taking pictures. We constructed a photo guestbook for the Humane Society that they can keep in their office to browse whenever they feel they want to. It was a great time!

October 2, 2010 ~ Children’s Miracle Network

October 4th, 2010

KC Photobooth was happy to be able to be a part of the Children’s Miracle Network Fall Fun Fest held at KU Med’s Kirmeyer Fitness Center. This was an excellent event for families, adults and children, with an ill family member or friend, to enjoy themselves playing games, painting, knitting, jumping in a bounce house, and of course taking pictures in our Extended Photobooth. Everyone had tons of fun! No one left without a prize from the event. We even had Mrs. Missouri in the photobooth! The smiles that we saw on so many faces let us know that this was for a good cause.

October 1, 2010 ~ ACLU

October 4th, 2010

KC Photobooth was asked to provide a photobooth for the ACLU’s Art of Expression Event held at Studio Dan Meiners – Pennway Place Event Space. They were going to incorporate the photobooth into the overall fundraising atmosphere of the evening. Throughout the night, as people took pictures in the photobooth, one photostrip would go into plastic with ribbon as a favor, and the other photostrip would go to a couple of artists who were constructing a lamp shade out of the photostrips. The lamp was then auctioned off at the end of the night as part of the live auction. Patty had seen how much work was going into the making of the lamp, so she decided it would be a nice keepsake for KC Photobooth. The lamp now graces our studio.

September 20, 2010 ~ Shadow Buddies

September 21st, 2010

For the second year in a row, KC Photobooth was a part of the Shadow Buddies Annual Benefit Dinner. It’s a night of mingling, dinner, and lots of fundraising! This includes a silent and live auction, where KC Photobooth has been happy to donate a 4-hour photobooth rental to the live auction for the past two years. It’s a small way that we can help out a great cause! Shadow Buddies works with hospitals nationwide, hoping to add some cheer and hope to children’s lives as they undergo treatments for numerous illnesses, both terminal and not.

This year, we had Andrew Cook emcee the cocktail hour from the photobooth! Yes, that is David Cook’s brother. It didn’t take much encouragement  before people were hopping in the photobooth with him for some pictures! Of course, people took pictures without him as well. Take a look!

September 19, 2010 ~ Bikers for Babies

September 20th, 2010

The March of Dimes Bikers for Babies Kansas City took place at the Kansas Speedway on Sunday, September 19th. More than 6,000 bikers rode in the 115 mile ride, raising more than $700,000! “It was an amazing feeling being a part of such a great cause,” commented Angie, one of our on-site coordinators who worked the photobooth at the event. Bikers for Babies seeks to raise awareness and funding for maternal and infant health programs.

The day began quite foggy, but it turned into a beautiful day, filled with bikes, fun, and of course, lots and lots of photostrips! Check ‘em out!

Tastes & Tees for TLC

August 4th, 2010

We had the pleasure of adding even more fun to an evening of good-doing on July 22, 2010. We were asked to provide a photobooth for the annual Tastes & Tees for TLC. This event aims at raising finances for TLC for Children and Families, LLC. There was a silent auction at the beginning of the evening with a variety of items up for bids.  A live auction was held after this, auctioning off some big ticket items, both financial and sentimental. The docket included a few paintings that had been done by someone who benefited from the work of TLC. A lot of good was done that night, and we would love to be a part of it again!

There was a wine tasting later in the evening, but check out how much fun everyone had in the photobooth even before that!
